Ervin Otto Korkow was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, CO,
on July 11, 2009.
Erv started producing rodeos in 1947 and started providing bucking stock for amateur rodeos in 1955 when he helped form the South Dakota Rodeo Association and served as its first president.  In 1958, he started producing professional rodeos under the Rodeo Cowboys Association banner.  He provided bucking stock for their first National Finals Rodeo in 1959 and did so annually.  Erv was also instrumental in starting South Dakota's youth 4-H rodeo series and Korkow Rodeos still provides stock for Regional 4-H Rodeos and the State 4-H Finals Rodeo held in Ft. Pierre, SD.
